DaddiLifeForce – Christmas 2016

written by DaddiLife 22nd December 2016
dad, daddy, things to do with the kids
Each week DaddiLifeForce brings you quick and easy tips that help turn average time into quality dad moments. Send or tag #daddilifeforce into your posts to feature across our Facebook and Instagram communities. Let’s go! ?

Christmas doesn’t have to be Mission Impossible…or does it…

Hopefully over the next few days you’ll be getting together with friends, family, loved ones, and…quite possibly…not so loved ones(!)  to enjoy the festivities. The reality of Christmas is that sometimes, it can be a little boring, as can more time with the kids.
So how about some light dad fun, with the help of your favourite movie, it’s iconic music, and your all action hero child!

This week’s DaddiLifeForce challenge is from Adam Sookia who’s son Oscar will be staring in a Mission Impossible remake in the not too distant future by the looks of it.
Here’s how to get involved:
  1. Think of a great movie you love
  2. And a famous scene in it
  3. Now re-create it and get filming!

Send or tag us on #daddilifeforce to get featured on our Facebook and Instagram communities to help other dads achieve your awesomeness.

Good luck, and have fun!

Planning on going out?

Make lunch a little more interesting with a lunchbag sketch.

dad, daddy, things to do with the kids

How to get involved:

  1. Find a clear sandwich bag (preferably one you’re going to put an actual sandwich in a little later).
  2. Re-create a scene you know your child loves. For instance, mine absolutely loves chicken and spaceships – and so a story is born!
  3. Get them helping with lines, colouring, and even perhaps telling you what they’d like to see on it.

Post yours and hashtag #daddilifeforce and we’d love to see/feature your LunchBag Sketches!

Staying in?

Give their counting game a boost with this genius move from @Toddlerdaddy

…when we’ve been up since six, playing counting games before breakfast does seem so ridiculous #toddler #toddlerdaddy #dadsofinstagram #kidsofinstagram #instadad #busytoddler #playideas #dadlife #dadblog #dadlife #love #children #fun #games #kidsactivities #letthembelittle #learning #dad #parenting #superdad #london #toddlerlife #family #familylife #familyblogger #waterbeads #counting

How to get involved:

  1. Find 4 (or more) bowls of equal size.
  2. Find a visual reference for numbers 1-4 (or more), for instance marbles or small play balls.
  3. Cut out the numerical numbers and move through each number filling in both number & bowl (with a little patience at the start) to improve the hand-eye coordination too.

Have an awesome Christmas time, and here’s hoping to more amazing special dad moments in 2017 and beyond! ?
