It’s super important to get more dads cooking. It matters for our health, and that of our children. With that in mind, we’re delighted to be introducing a new segment of the site where we’ll be featuring recipes. Not just any old recipes, but great ones like this chicken recipe for kids that are easy to make and have been thought of with the family in mind.
A great chicken recipe for the Kids
The first one comes from Kate and Helen from Little Cooks Co, a monthly kids cookery subscription box.
“We believe that teaching kids to cook is one of the most important life lessons you can give them and that’s why our mission is to make cooking with kids easy, healthy and fun.”
All our recipes are designed with kids in mind and are tested both for ease of cooking and eatability with our panel of little tasters. Not only that they are based around whole natural ingredients and no nasties including no refined sugar!
We know getting kids to eat is hard work, we’ve all experienced fussy eaters but we can say that involving children in food preparation is one of the most powerful ways to encourage them to eat a wider variety of food including fruit and vegetables. But you don’t just have to take our word for it, some clever scientists have done studies that prove it’s true!
It’s never to young to start getting kids engaged, whether it’s helping pick new vegetables to try at the supermarket or getting them to peel a mushroom, there’s plenty of simple ways to get kids engaged.
Kate and Helen will sharing more of their recipes on Daddilife over the coming weeks and would love to hear how your little ones get on!
