The parenting website for dads

Ryan, read with Eliza , aged 4

Where were you when you read the book?

Eliza and I were at home when we read this informative book together. Reading it and doing the construction at home is recommended as this book contains 61 fairly small sized lego pieces so the possibility of losing them if taken out the house are probably quite high.

What did you / your child enjoy about the book?

We both constructed the 4 vehicles (which the 61 pieces allow you to build) which was a great teamwork exercise. Eliza was fascinated at how everything came together and we found it very fun.

Any Surprises / Feedback?

Eliza enjoyed learning about the different types of vehicles and what makes them move. Seeing them all constructed in Lego keeps the attention and she was curious to learn more. The little facts/record breakers featured were interesting for her to hear and also for me.
I the book is very educational and shows the many different types of vehicles used for different purposes and also the evolution of some of them.

On a rating out of 5, how likely would you recommend it to other parents?

I will give the book a solid 4. It is very similar to a Guinness Book of Records book which I know can be a bit like marmite in that some love it and others hate it but for me it really grasped Eliza's attention and the building was fun to do and very rewarding for Eliza.
